about

This music was first released on CDRs in 2001 and 2002.

‘Halant’ includes wire recordings made by Alan Lamb.

‘Heat’ is an alternate version of the piece that appears on the Chaleur compilation LP, and is also a precursor to the later album ‘Long Heat’.

‘Murray’ is made from field recordings in the Murray River basin, NSW, Australia.

‘Beech’ was recorded live in Edinburgh on 8 March 2002. It's based on recordings made in a beech wood with Tim Hill.

Two pieces from compilations are included as bonus tracks with the album download: ‘Heat’ from the Chaleur compilation LP and ‘Beech’ from the Infernal Proteus book/CD set.
